TACOMA-OLYMPIA SECTION Wind load committee chair elected Fellow Donald R. Scott, P.E., S.E., F.SEI, F.ASCE, vice president and director of engineering at PCS Structural Solutions, Seattle and Tacoma, has been elected a Fellow by the ASCE Board of Direction. He has been a member of the ASCE 7 Wind Load Committee since 1996, shaping future IBC provisions for wind design. He currently serves as chairman. Read more about his career.

NEVADA SECTION University of Nevada, Reno's shake table project is the big one The university’s massive shake table and soil box will be one of the largest in the world when it is completed in two years, and the only one of its size that can shake soil in two directions simultaneously.
