IN ASCE’s CIVIL ENGINEERING ONLINE MAGAZINE Climate warming and other disturbing trends worsened in 2014 A new report by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration appearing in the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society reveals that 2014 was marked by record warmth, record levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, record ocean temperatures, and "the Blob." SACRAMENTO YOUNGER MEMBER FORUM Second annual picnic honors great careers and budding ones Following its success a year ago, Sacramento’s Younger Member Forum hosted its second annual picnic, attracting a crowd of about 60 people. The event recognized new ASCE Life Members and awarded scholarships to four students attending universities in the Section. Read more about recent Sacramento Section activities.
