The panel discussed key topics with each other and the audience, focusing on career advancement, work and life balance, leadership, overcoming challenges faced by women in the industry, and finding your passion. LOS ANGELES SECTION, ORANGE COUNTY BRANCH Learning over lunch ASCE Orange County recently had its August lunch event at the Center Club in Costa Mesa, CA, featuring a presentation about the Airport Boulevard Railroad Grade Separation project in Thermal, CA. This $29.4 million Riverside County Transportation Department project is scheduled for completion in early 2016. The project proposes to grade separate the current at-grade crossing of Airport Boulevard with the Union Pacific Railroad tracks by raising the roadway over the railroad and constructing a four-lane bridge that will span the railroad tracks and State Highway 111.
