SACRAMENTO SECTION UC-Davis professor, champion of California water resources named Distinguished Member Jay Lund, Ph.D., F.EWRI, Dist.M.ASCE, has been elected to the Class of 2016 Distinguished Members. Lund, a professor at the University of California, Davis, is acclaimed in the Golden State as a leader in reservoir management and operation, water demand management, and incorporation of water markets into water resources systems. His efforts has had a significant influence on state and federal policy for California’s Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Read more about his career. |

LOS ANGELES SECTION San Diego Airport project makes history with Envision award The San Diego International Airport's Green Build landside project recently received the Envision rating system’s Platinum award – the first airport development so honored by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. Owned by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, the landside development is the 13th project in North America to receive an Envision rating system award from ISI, which was cofounded in 2011 by ASCE, the American Public Works Association, and the American Council of Engineering Companies.
