Uchrin, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE, an esteemed environmental engineer and educator, has been elevated to the status of Fellow by the ASCE Board of Direction. In his time as a professor at Rutgers, he has advised 37 Ph.D. recipients. Many of these have gone on to productive careers in all sectors of the environmental field. ITHACA SECTION Cornell professor elected Distinguished Member Kenneth C. Hover, Ph.D., P.E., Dist.M.ASCE, was one of nine elected to ASCE’s highest honor –Distinguished Membership – in 2016. Hover, a professor at Cornell, is world-renowned for his advances in concrete technology and construction. His research on free-thaw resistance of high-strength concrete, measurement of air, and the effects of handling and vibration on air entrainment (embedded bubbles) have significantly improved concrete technology and construction practices.
