Therese Kline, flexible pipe specialist in the special structures unit of Highway Development and president of the Michigan Section of ASCE, receives the State of Michigan recognition for the Michigan Section of ASCE’s 100 years of service from Director Steudle.

The Illinois and Michigan sections are among the four ASCE Sections celebrating centennials this year, joining National Capital and Utah.

The Michigan Section formed in 1916 in Detroit, where 100 years later the group hosted its centennial gala dinner at Cobo Hall.

The Illinois Section has commemorated its 100-year birthday throughout 2016 with a variety of events and tours.
