| LEBANON SECTION Lebanese members learn about future of 3D printing  Photo courtesy Lebanon Section Section President Makrram Suidan presents a certificate of appreciation to Khaled Chehab, president of the Order of Engineers in Beirut. The Lebanon Section hosted a lecture in Dbaye on the latest applications of 3D printing in civil engineering. Farook Hamzeh discussed how 3D printing can be used in applications calling for concrete and ceramics, citing examples in China and Dubai. Hamzeh heads a research team at work on a new 3D printer. The meeting also featured a talk from Khaled Chehab, president of the Order of Engineers in Beirut, who stressed the role of the order of engineers in securing high academic standards for graduating engineers and the importance of the colloquium that will be soon set as a requirement to join the syndicate of engineers. |
