CENTRAL OHIO SECTION 18th annual Section Golf Outing raises $2,880 Courtesy Central Ohio Section About 75 golfers participated in the 18th annual Central Ohio Section Golf Outing, which raised more than $2,700 to support the Section’s Younger Member Group and its Civil Engineering Career Day. An additional $180 was contributed to the Carolyn J. Merry Scholarship Fund. The outing was held again at Darby Creek Golf Course in Marysville. AKRON-CANTON SECTION CEO of Akron-based geotechnical engineering firm elected an ASCE Fellow George P. Kelly, P.E., M.ASCE, managing principal and CEO of Akron, Ohio–headquartered Langan Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc., has been elevated to ASCE Fellow status by the Society’s Board of Direction. With the firm since its start in 1970, Langan now employs more than 850 people in 20 offices throughout the U.S. and around the world.
